The mushroom cloud had begun to disperse, yet the mysterious old man still stood quietly within her and Night Owl's line of sight. There was no doubt that the devastating attack just now had come from him, but what rose in Wasp's heart was an even stranger feeling—the man was powerful, bizarre, mysterious, and had arrived without a sound. Honestly, in any Magic Shadow Play, he would have been the sort of character whose background music started playing half a minute before he appeared, clearly set up to suppress the entire scene and turn the tide. Yet her attention kept being drawn to his pajamas and nightcap... especially the little floral pattern printed on the pajamas...
But she was, after all, a trained Intelligence Bureau agent. She quickly forced herself to calm down. After confirming that no more messengers had appeared nearby for the moment, she maintained a wary guard while respectfully nodding to the old man in the distance. "Thank you very much for helping us—may I ask who you are...?"
"I don't know," the old man on the other side said before she had finished speaking, and there was not the slightest hint of loftiness in his tone. "I was sleeping at home, then I opened my eyes and ended up here... Who are you
