War Nun Corps

The Goddess Priestess, dressed in a brand-new standard nun's uniform, stood in the open space before the formation. The cold wind of late autumn swept across the square, lifting her pale golden hair and the skirt hem trimmed with black lace. She focused on the distant target, listening closely for her superior's orders.

"Ready—"

At the command, the nun assigned to demonstrate raised the magic-infused "staff" in her hands. With a crisp, practiced motion, she held it level at her side, one hand gripping its middle and the other grasping the guard wrapped in Scripture Cloth at the front. A low, pleasant hum came from the mechanisms at both ends of the staff, and a faint, holy white light began flowing through the gaps in its Mechanical Structure and between its runes.

"Fire!!"

Her slender fingers pulled the trigger. The Goddess Priestess's body shuddered slightly, and a burst of white light erupted from the opening at the front of the staff—the searing Holy Light energy shot toward the distance and exploded into blazing radiance against a Purple Steel enchanted pillar serving as the target.

After completing a fine shot, she extinguished the light within the focusing crystal as ordered, planted the Gospel Angel beside her once more, then turned and returned to the formation.

"This is the weapon the Magic Technology Research Institute and the design bureau improved to meet the needs of female clergy," Light said, nodding to Veronica. "It may look like an all-metal staff, but it has weak Weight-Reducing Runes inside, so it's much lighter than it appears. Its attack is essentially the Holy Light Impact Hand Cannon used by White Knights, but it has been changed from a double shot to a single shot, cutting its weight in half.
