Gawain had been paying attention to Sandbox One for a long time and had always been quite curious about where its entrance actually was—according to the intelligence gathered earlier, although Sandbox One was an independently operating Mind Network, it still had an entrance and exit connected to the main network. Yet Gawain and Daniel had scanned the entire Mind Network without finding where that entrance was.
And now, he finally understood why no one had ever known about this mysterious entrance—
After the decision to begin the operation was made, the archbishops in the Golden Council Hall left their seats one after another. Though Gawain did not understand why, he stood up as well. Then he saw everyone take a step back, while rings of alternating solid and illusory light suddenly rippled across the surface of the golden round table covered in mysterious runes.
Megall III's ever-expanding and contracting Starlight Aggregate slowly descended from midair, touching the center of the round table like some viscous liquid. The next second, the rippling solid-illusory light was suddenly dyed with layer upon layer of starlight, which swiftly spread across the entire tabletop like a halo—
A vortex-like opening formed within the starlight. Drifting clouds, sand and dust, and hazy mountains and rivers could vaguely be seen within it.
At the same time the entrance opened, the entire round table sank until it was level with the floor. It truly became a portal embedded in the ground.
The round table in this Golden Council Hall was the entrance to Sandbox One, and Megall III was the "key" that opened it!
"...That was somewhat beyond my expectations," Gawain said with a smile as he stood beside the vortex-like entrance and looked down at the hazy clouds and sand within. "So Sandbox One is down there?
