Nariter's words left everyone present momentarily unable to comprehend them. Whether grammatically or semantically, nobody could make sense of them. A phrase even popped into Gawain's mind—the words and knowledge of gods were difficult for mortals to understand; even if you clearly heard Their voice, you could not grasp Their intent...
He immediately shook his head and flung the thought from his mind. That sentence definitely wasn't meant to describe the situation before him...
"What exactly happened?" He looked at the girl in the holographic projection. "You said there was a 'woman without legs'? The intruder was a woman without legs?"
Nariter immediately nodded and gestured at an immense height. "And she was especially huge, like a tower. She ran all the way to the Unconscious Zone at the edge of the Neural Network, and that's where she got away..."
Gawain's brow slowly furrowed. Realizing it would be difficult to obtain useful information through this exchange, he interrupted Nariter. "Wait there for now. I'll enter the network and speak with you directly."
Nariter nodded. "Oh, all right."
"Handle the follow-up work for the network integration here," Gawain said, turning to Rebecca and Camil beside him. "The network looks normal now, but we can't let down our guard yet. Continue monitoring the condition of all hubs for another twenty-four hours, and keep listening for abnormal signals in the network. Also... Camil, import the Sea Monster Runes into the network as a full-domain broadcast."
He had only thought of that last instruction a second earlier. Recalling Nariter's chaotic description and the clues he had observed in the earlier anomaly, he vaguely felt that the truth behind this matter was anything but ordinary.
After making a series of arrangements, Gawain did not linger in the real world. He soon entered the Neural Network
