What drew the Voyagers from the depths of the universe to this planet was the so-called "Chaotic Background Pulse"—likely some technical term understood only by the Voyagers themselves. As for its source, however, Gawain quickly figured it out.
It was the large-scale descent of gods and the wars that had taken place on this planet.
"When they arrived on this planet, the entire world was already nearly beyond saving. Bloodthirsty gods, together with their fanatical churches, had turned the whole planet into a vast sacrificial ground, while ordinary people were like livestock awaiting slaughter. Tarlonnd appeared to be the only 'pure land,' but it had achieved self-preservation only by sealing its borders and freezing its gods in place.
"Faced with such a situation, the Voyagers chose the most drastic means of intervention... to 'tear down' the divine structure that had spiraled out of control on this planet."
Having said this, the Dragon God shook her head slightly.
"In truth, even I know very little about the Voyagers. I do not know what methods they used when confronting different circumstances on other planets, nor whether they had other ways to guide a civilization away from the shackles of gods. I only know that, on this planet, they used the most effective method... they attacked directly.
"At that time, the gods frequently interfered with the mortal world, and divine power repeatedly pierced the barrier between the mortal world and the divine kingdoms. The boundary between the gods' world and the mortals' world became blurred. Unsealed 'Deep Realm hollows' and rifts filled the skies above the planet, and the Voyagers launched fierce attacks against every divine kingdom through those passages.
