Background / History
Ling Pengxing was an early standout of the Ling Clan’s Peng generation and one of the few clansmen to master the Earthly Fiend Sword Formation 4. As a Foundation Establishment cultivator, he hunted demon beasts in Serpent Dragon Lake for resources, defeating a serpent pack but retreating when stronger beasts pursued him 254.
After his cultivation foundation was shattered, he traveled to temper his sword heart and pursue a sword technique of his own 420 466. Disguised as an old man, he helped Bai Xuanhe seize the Hundred Spirits Kingdom’s throne, studying imperial power and the Emperor’s Aura for possible use in his swordsmanship 421 466. He later turned to ghost cultivation after discovering a ghost vein and a ghost-nurturing lamp 557 558.
Ling Pengxing continued serving the clan as a ghost-path sword cultivator, including through covert assignments that his identity made difficult to carry out publicly 1066. He later established himself among ghost-path forces and joined the Evil Eye Spirit Ghost Clan 1824 1886 1985.
