After Roy had been gone for quite a while, the vampires hiding in the corners finally rose to their feet, trembling with fear.

Dracula's three Brides gathered around him and asked worriedly, "Master, do you really intend to seek help from a demon again?"

Dracula wrapped an arm around them and said, "It can only be called a two-pronged preparation. Igor is restoring Frankenstein's Device. If those scientific instruments can truly give our children new life, then we won't need to seek help from a demon. But if the Device goes wrong, this demon will be our last hope!"

What Dracula referred to was the equipment scientist Frankenstein had used to revive Frankenstein's Monster. Since those instruments could bring a monster stitched together from corpses back to life, perhaps they could also allow the little vampires to be born safely. Unfortunately, Frankenstein's Monster, the revived creature, had vanished in a great fire. Dracula had never managed to find him. If he had Frankenstein's Monster as an experimental subject, Dracula would have been far more confident.

"Besides Anna, there's someone else!" Dracula said with a dark expression. "The Town Chief of Transylvania Town, Baron Lucius! Damn it, I never expected him to be the one who summoned the demon. I don't know what exactly his contract with that demon entails, but we must be cautious. What if he also asks the demon to grant him power and turns into a monster like a werewolf? This town can only have one Ruler, and that is me, Dracula!"

"Find him, bring him back, and kill him when the time is right!" Dracula ordered the three Brides. "Make him unable to complete the Demon Contract!"

"Yes, Master!" The three Vampire Brides immediately bowed to accept the order.

Dracula did not know that Lucius's name was something Roy had deliberately revealed before leaving! And Dracula's reaction was exactly what Roy wanted.

A greedy human like Lucius was disliked even by demons. From the very beginning, Roy had only signed a contract with him so that he could remain in this world. Roy had never intended to let Lucius complete the contract.
