The purple-red pool water bubbled and churned from time to time. Beneath the spreading steam, it looked as though it were boiling.
By this time, dozens of Lower Demons were already soaking in the pool. From time to time, more Lower Demons in need of advancement, like Roy, arrived here. Roy had only watched for a short while, yet he had already seen several Lower Demons pass through the entrance and enter the pool.
The Middle Demons lingering around the perimeter did not stop them, allowing them to enter freely. Judging from how they were flung away whenever they touched the barrier, they seemed to dearly wish they could enter again as well.
With Fat Tiger, Roy slowly flew toward the Quenching Land. Along the way, Roy witnessed several Lower Demons advancing.
After soaking in the pool for some time, the bodies of some Lower Demons underwent varying degrees of change. Some had their demon horns change, becoming thicker and more twisted. Horns that might once have been fairly straight gradually curved into loops, like the difference between goat horns and ram horns. Others experienced changes in body size, their original bodies swelling or shrinking. Some underwent complete transformations—several extra pairs of eyes might appear on their faces, extra arms might grow from their bodies, or those who had originally lacked tails might grow one.
Roy even saw a small demon in the pool whose chest gradually swelled as a pair of wings grew from its back. It slowly changed from some unknown kind of demon into a Succubus Roy recognized!
He had no idea whether that demon had originally been male or female. If it had been female to begin with, that was one thing, but if it had originally been male, then the change was truly drastic! That
