Now that the Queen was out of danger, it was time to deal with matters of state.

The throne hall no longer possessed its former golden splendor. Since the battle had only just ended, they had only had time to clear away the corpses and bloodstains. The damage caused by the fighting had yet to be repaired, leaving the place looking somewhat battered and ruined.

Yet this brutality did not make the place feel desolate. Instead, it added a touch of solemnity. One glance was enough to make fury and courage surge from one's chest, making one want to hug a Nuclear Bomb warhead and perish alongside the enemy.

Odin sat high upon the throne, listening to his subordinates report on the current situation. His face was dark and still as water, appearing utterly calm, yet rage churned like a storm within his chest! At Odin's age, the killing intent and ferocity in him should have long been worn away by time. He was no longer as hot-blooded as he had been in his youth. But now, he had decided to unleash a massacre!

The Dark Elves had actually dared to attack Asgard itself, charging all the way into the throne hall. Once such a shocking incident spread through the nations and across the universe, where would Asgard's majesty be? Where would its dignity remain? As king, he could not endure this!

Back when former emperor Bor was alive, his greatest achievement had been exterminating the Dark Elves and saving the dawn of the universe. Even now, that deed was still widely praised. But for the Dark Elves to suddenly reappear today was equivalent to smearing filth across the former emperor's face! It was the same as announcing to the world that the former emperor had falsified his military achievements
