Evenson truly had a splitting headache now. He had somehow stumbled into this prison, only to discover that it held Hela—Odin's eldest daughter, Thor and Loki's older sister.
But that was one thing. It was Asgard's family business and had nothing to do with him. The problem was that Hela seemed incredibly powerful. Judging by her feat of single-handedly wiping out the entire Valkyrie corps in an instant, she was probably even stronger than Thor. He was absolutely no match for her.
Still, that was not much of a problem. As a Sorcerer, he was fairly skilled at dealing with people stronger than himself. After all, Sorcerers only fought the weak. They only had dealings with those stronger than themselves. When Sorcerers encountered weaker demons, they enslaved them outright. Evenson naturally did not dare neglect such basic skills. Ever since Hela had made her entrance and struck that pose, he had quietly rattled off a couple of tongue twisters to loosen up his tongue, preparing to rely on his silver tongue to fool Hela later.
Sure enough, from one glance at the murals on the ceiling of the throne hall and a few scattered words from Hela, Evenson had roughly deduced her current situation. So he opened with, "The realm was won by the general, yet the general is forbidden from seeing the realm," successfully earning Hela's favor.
But things took a wrong turn afterward. Just as Evenson was about to press further, at the very least raising Hela's reputation bar to Friendly, she suddenly demanded in full Queenly fashion that he kneel!
Why the hell should I?! Evenson had never knelt before anyone in his life. So what if you're
