This area of 150,000 square kilometers was no small patch of land—roughly the size of an entire province. Yet Evenson had waved his hand and given it away. After all, he was a tycoon with an entire planet in his possession, and he had practically acquired even that planet for nothing. He did not feel the slightest heartache.
As for whether that land contained any mineral resources, Evenson did not care much either. It was such a huge planet. He refused to believe that only that one area had minerals. No matter how terrible his luck was, it could not possibly be that terrible.
After Evenson and Zahaiyd had settled their deal, Ancient One's abdication ceremony finally reached a conclusion. Klayya ultimately agreed, albeit reluctantly.
Who knew whether Ancient One had persuaded her by appealing to the greater good and laying out the stakes, or whether she had suddenly realized that if she became the ruler of Earth, then when she married Evenson in the future, perhaps she would not be marrying down—Evenson would be marrying into her family instead. Then she could finally hold her head high before those two she-devils!
Although Thor had muddleheadedly served as witness for the ceremony and even signed his name in the witness section of the contract, he still had some sense of propriety. He had lived for so long; as Crown Prince of Asgard, even if he had never eaten pork, he had at least seen pigs run. He understood some of the rules. "This matter is settled, but it is of great importance. By all rights, you should inform my father. Which of you two plans to go?"
