The Land of No Law was a very special place in the universe. Although many people gathered here, it was neither a planet nor an artificial space station. It was the skeletal head of an ancient super-being.
The Devan Group had been the first to discover this place, and they were also its controllers. They constantly mined the super-being's remaining brain tissue, neural fluid, and similar materials. Apparently, those things sold quite well.
However, the Devan Group was an organization purely driven by profit. Though they controlled this place, they seemed to have little interest in managing it. Thus, there was only one rule here: do not touch the Devan Group's property. Everything else was fair game.
As a result, this lawless land had become a gathering place for space pirates, mercenaries, and adventurers. Theft, robbery, murder, black-market deals, and the like were everywhere.
