Mephisto truly hadn't expected this sudden turn of events, so Gabriel, who had appeared out of nowhere, stomped him underfoot.
But he was still the Hell Monarch. How could he be captured so easily? His head swayed and rubbed back and forth beneath Gabriel's foot, accompanied by some suspicious, indescribable noises.
Gabriel had originally wanted to exchange a few pleasantries, but upon seeing this, she immediately swallowed her words and retreated several steps in disgust. Only then did Mephisto get back to his feet. "Oh dear, did you not wash your feet before coming here?"
Mephisto raised his hand and wiped his face several times, then grinned. "Still, at least it's the original flavor."
"You...!" Gabriel looked as though she had swallowed a fly. She pointed at Mephisto, unable to say a word, while the foot that had stepped on him kept grinding against the floor as if she wanted to scrape off a layer of skin.
They said devils would stop at nothing. Today, they had truly seen it. He was trying to disgust someone to death.
"Sorcerer Supreme." Mephisto put away his perverted smile as if nothing had happened. "Come to think of it, we can be considered old acquaintances, yet this is our first time meeting face-to-face."
Mephisto was exceedingly cunning. Whenever he had schemes involving the mortal world, he would usually send agents to carry them out. Even when he had to appear personally, he always managed to avoid Ancient One's detection. He had never fallen into her hands.
"You could say that." Gabriel had known of Mephisto before. She had tried to track him down and had even ruined quite a few of his schemes in the mortal world. Yet she could only follow scattered traces and had never seen the whole prey. Her assessment
