"Where's Skye? Don't give her that drug!"
Coulson had successfully led his team into Tahiti Base, obtained the drug that had brought him back from the dead, GH325, and had Ward take it back to the plane first. He himself stayed behind to further investigate the secrets of the base.
But not long after, he came sprinting back to the plane and anxiously stopped Simmons from administering the drug to Skye. Yet when he returned, all he saw was the empty hospital bed and the relieved expressions of his teammates.
"Evenson came?" Coulson let out a long breath when he saw this. At least things here had not developed beyond his expectations.
"Yeah, he came." Melinda nodded. By now, she already knew that her reactions throughout this incident had all been accounted for by Coulson, so her expression was somewhat unpleasant, though she did not show it too much. "I asked him to come. He's already taken Skye away to seek treatment from a renowned doctor. Seeing how confident he was, I doubt there'll be any problem."
"A renowned doctor?" Coulson froze. He had thought Evenson would personally attempt some kind of treatment, but he had not expected him to go find a doctor. Even the Zurich S.H.I.E.L.D. Trauma Center had been helpless before Skye's injuries. What doctor could possibly be better than their medical team?
"Stephen Strange." Melinda knew what Coulson was wondering, so she explained, "Evenson said his disappearance was only an illusion. He went to study Magic, and now he's the new Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, Earth's White Magic Organization."
"That guy... can treat Skye?" Coulson asked hesitantly. He knew Strange's reputation in the medical world. He also knew S.H.I.E.L.D. had invited that exceptionally skilled doctor many times, only to be politely turned down every time.
