Thomas was suddenly shot dead by Ward. Everyone present was stunned beyond words.
Leaving aside the fact that Thomas merely seemed to possess some special ability, his actual body was nothing more than a bedridden, paralyzed patient incapable of moving. He had offered no resistance whatsoever, yet a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent had suddenly shot him dead from behind. This was already a serious violation of apprehension protocol.
Moreover, what Thomas had said was indeed shocking and infuriating. But had it really reached the point where someone would be unable to resist killing him? An ordinary person might be understandable. But Grant Ward was an intermediate agent.
After so many years of agent training and flawlessly carrying out so many missions, he still exploded like a firecracker at the slightest spark?! Had he not considered that once Thomas died, how they were supposed to investigate the things he had secretly planned and the people working for him?
So no matter how Ward tried to defend himself, no one present could understand his actions. They were deeply disappointed in him, and some had even thought of the words "silencing a witness." Ward was immediately taken into custody to await punishment.
"So, based on all that, you suspect Coulson is the real Clairvoyant?" Evenson found Klayya's account rather amusing.
"Isn't that enough to prove it?" Klayya said. "Based on my specialty, Coulson had already violated numerous international laws and S.H.I.E.L.D. regulations before this. Agent Blake was suspicious, so he brought those suspicions to discuss with Agent Victoria Hand. Then he died."
"He died at Ghost Rider's hands," Evenson reminded her. "You've met that guy. He listens to almost no one. You don't seriously think Coulson could arrange for him to kill someone, do you?"
Speaking of which, Evenson was irritated as well. Ghost Rider
