"Teresa took my call, and I've already told her what Project Insight really looks like, as well as the security codes. I trust she'll put them to good use."
Malik's voice came through before the Eredar Twins in Gospel Company's conference room. "But I think this can only solve the immediate problem. It won't change the bigger picture."
"Of course." Saloras nodded. Pierce now controlled the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Controlling one or two people would be of no real use. "I never expected them to change the bigger picture. I only hope this move ensures that the members of the committee survive. Afterward, they'll thank us."

With their status, even if they claimed that a parallel universe had invaded, the US government would have to take it seriously.
"God knows how many sleeper agents Hydra has planted in our government under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cover over the years." Saloras said half-jokingly. "Maybe the person answering our emergency call is Hydra too. Unless we make this known to everyone..." Her eyes suddenly lit up. "How did I not think of that? How did I forget this option?"
Saloras grabbed her hair in frustration, while Aurelles immediately
