No one knew which wire had gotten crossed in Coulson and Hill's brains, but they had actually come up with the indescribably brilliant idea of kidnapping the Eredar Twins and holding them hostage to escape.
As far as the plan itself went, there was no flaw in its logic. Once surrounded, unexpectedly gaining control of the enemy's leaders really was the best way to escape. And if they firmly believed themselves to be on the side of justice, then with the bonus of being protagonists, the plan's success rate would rise exponentially.
So if Coulson really put this plan into action... come on, lie down. Let me spray you awake!
It couldn't be helped. If the premise was wrong, then no matter how rigorous the reasoning built upon it was, it could only lead to the wrong conclusion.
Yet Coulson and Hill were utterly confident in that wrong conclusion. Their only concern was how to get close to the Eredar Twins. But just then, the targets came to them on their own.
"How did your discussion go?" When Coulson saw the Eredar Twins stroll into the room, his eyes lit up at once. They had delivered themselves right to his door? He would feel sorry for them if he didn't make a move! But his gaze immediately darkened, because Soldier 76 entered right behind them.
Coulson had dealt with Black Badge Division agents plenty of times. Every one of them was exceptionally capable, and he did not believe this big man before him was merely an ordinary soldier with a burly build. Besides, although he was not carrying that highly futuristic automatic rifle, there was still a pistol in the holster on his thigh. Don't tell him Soldier 76 treated that pistol as decoration and never used it!
