Refusal

Hun Xiu was demanding far too much; Qin Tian simply could not agree to it!

He had thought that, given his status, Hun Xiu would at least show him some respect. Unexpectedly, Hun Xiu had indeed made a concession.

But that concession was far too small!

He was clearly refusing to give Qin Tian any face at all! Qin Tian had never expected that one day, even the dignity of the Great Thousand Palace's Palace Master would cease to carry weight.

This was awkward.

Qin Tian could agree to ordinary matters, but this would deal an enormous blow to the Maha Ancient Clan's foundations. He truly could not agree on Maha Tian's behalf, much less on behalf of the Maha Ancient Clan.

Seeing Qin Tian fall silent,

Hun Xiu knew that Qin Tian could not make the decision. His gaze shifted to the half-dead Maha Tian nearby.

With a beckoning gesture,

the fallen rubble on Maha Tian's body flew away, and Maha Tian's body slowly drifted toward Hun Xiu.

"Urgh..."

Hun Xiu gripped Maha Tian by the throat and looked at him coldly. "With that little strength of yours, where did you get the courage to attack my Hall of Souls?"

Just as Maha Tian was about to die, Hun Xiu released his throat, and Maha Tian slowly slumped down like a puddle of mud.
