Kavon hated Alucard, that incompetent fool who ruined everything.
If a powerful enemy had found you and you couldn't win, you should have just self-destructed. Instead, you exposed his location.
And now, a Grand Duke and a Prince had both become prisoners. If word got out, the other vampires would laugh themselves to death. They would be nailed to the pillar of shame.
"Human, what exactly do you want?!"
Kavon's voice was filled with fury.
He was a vampire Prince, a supreme being, yet now he could not even control his own life or death. The feeling was driving Kavon mad.
Qin Chuan casually replied, "I want to know how you colluded with the Illuminati, what plans you have going forward, which True Ancestor you serve, the status of the other True Ancestors, and when you plan to awaken the Vampire Ancestor. I want to know all of that."
Unease rose in Kavon's heart.
Why did this human speak of vampire secrets so smoothly and naturally, as though he himself were a vampire?
Kavon used all his strength to turn his gaze toward Alucard. The fury in his eyes was so intense that he wished it could become tangible and burn this traitor who had leaked their secrets to death.
You call yourself a Vampire Grand Duke, yet you have no backbone at all. You actually opened your mouth so easily.
Alucard had grievances he could not voice.
It really hadn't been him.
He was also shocked that this human knew so much about vampires.
Logically, during this Apocalypse Hunt, the vampires had not left many traces. Their existence should have been even more secretive.
He couldn't figure it out. He truly couldn't.
Qin Chuan waved a hand and moved Alucard aside, out of Kavon's sight. Then he said flatly, "Tell me, and I can give you a quick death."
Kavon simply closed his eyes.
He was a Prince, an absolute high-ranking member of the vampire race. He had his own pride and principles. Asking him to betray his own people was impossible!
Qin Chuan tried suppressing Kavon with the Shadow Domain, but physical pain was meaningless to a high-ranking vampire like Kavon. Even if their bodies were crushed to pieces, as long as their Blood Cores remained and they had enough Blood Energy, they could regenerate endlessly.
After pondering for a moment, Qin Chuan waved his hand. The Shadow Domain condensed into dozens of scalpels that pierced through Kavon from different angles.
Kavon burst into laughter. "Human, do you think this little pain can make me submit? Dream on!"
Qin Chuan ignored Kavon's taunts and merely continued condensing blades.
Gradually, Kavon realized something was wrong.
Normally, his Blood Core could move freely throughout his body. That was one of the reasons vampires were so difficult to kill.
Unless the Blood Core was struck in a single blow, as long as vampires were given a little time to react, they could move it to a safe area.
But now, Kavon discovered that his Blood Core's possible paths of movement were filled with countless blades. The power contained within them made him not dare risk moving his Blood Core through them.
He had a feeling that if his Blood Core so much as touched those black blades, it would suffer terribly.
In his current situation, however, Kavon felt like a fish on a chopping block, able only to watch as blade after blade fell.
Even if he knew the other party was locking onto his Blood Core, so what? There was no way to break out of it.
At that moment, a bewitching voice sounded beside Kavon's ear. "Think about it. You still have an endless lifespan to enjoy, so why suffer for others? When you needed those True Ancestors, where were they? At worst, I'll do you a favor and spare the True Ancestor of your bloodline while going after the others. Think about it. If all the other True Ancestors die, wouldn't your bloodline become the undisputed orthodox lineage of the vampires?"
Normally, persuasion at this level would have been useless against Kavon.
But Kavon had been constantly worrying about his Blood Core, his mind shaken. Qin Chuan seized the opportunity to use the Swindler's ability, feeding him one line after another until Kavon's expression kept changing.
Thinking about it carefully, this proposal really wasn't bad.
If he could help his own True Ancestor become the sole ruler and monopolize the authority of the vampire race, his own status would rise dramatically as well!
Seeing this, Qin Chuan added fuel to the fire. "If it succeeds, you'll become the number one Prince of the vampires. Every other Prince will have to lower their heads before you. You'll be the foremost person beneath the True Ancestors!"
In his previous life, Qin Chuan had dealt with vampires many times. He had killed so many that he had lost count. His understanding of vampires was even greater than that of many ordinary vampires.
It was precisely because of this that Qin Chuan could accurately identify Kavon's psychological weakness and guide him accordingly.
Judging from the faint confusion and anticipation in Kavon's eyes, this fellow had already taken the bait.
Qin Chuan gave one final push. He dragged Alucard before Kavon, and the power of the Shadow Domain swept over him, utterly destroying Alucard's body and leaving behind only his Blood Core.
Then Qin Chuan seized the Blood Core and effortlessly crushed it.
"Only you and I know about this. There is no third party." Qin Chuan smiled. "Do you want to become the number one Prince, or do you want to die meaninglessly like Alucard? Tell me your answer."
Sensing Alucard's complete demise, the final line of defense in Kavon's heart utterly collapsed.
Vampires were a race selfish to the extreme.
What did the lives of the other True Ancestors have to do with Kavon? As long as the True Ancestor of his own bloodline survived, that was enough.
The True Ancestors had always been in competition with one another. Over the years, Kavon had fought quite a few Princes under the other True Ancestors. Now that he had a chance to kill all his mortal enemies, it was an absolute gain for Kavon.
Kavon even had an even more secret thought.
Who said he could only be a Prince? Couldn't he become a new True Ancestor?
Once that thought emerged, it immediately grew like wild grass, leaving Kavon unable to ignore it any longer.
"True Ancestor Kavon. What a pleasant name."
The voice drifted around Kavon's ears, making him think he was hearing things. He also wondered whether he had accidentally spoken his thoughts aloud.
But Kavon quickly realized that it was the human before him.
Kavon's expression returned to normal as he said calmly, "There are too many voices within the vampire race. It's time to achieve unification. Human, release me. Is this how humans show their sincerity in cooperation?"
To Qin Chuan, only dead vampires were good vampires, but he would not kill Kavon just yet.
Killing one Kavon would count as a major achievement, but that was all.
As long as the True Ancestors remained, Princes could always be replaced.
But if he could kill one or two True Ancestors, the vampires' power would be greatly weakened!
If he could follow the trail and take out the Vampire Ancestor, humanity would have one less enemy.
For that reason, Qin Chuan had decided to spare Kavon's life for now.
He could take Kavon's life whenever he wanted, but if he missed this chance to obtain the position of a True Ancestor, it would be difficult to encounter another one. Not every vampire Prince was as easy to con as Kavon.
