Things Will Get Better

"Then... what about Mama Cocolia...?"

Bronya had not completely given up on Cocolia. There was still a sliver of hope in her heart, which was why she asked that question.

Xing forced out a smile. "Maybe... maybe Mama Cocolia has her own difficulties."

"Oh."

Bronya replied coldly.

Cocolia's goals had clearly all been for the orphanage, yet the children here had received no care at all while they had been scattered...

"Let's not talk about that for now. Since you came today, go see your friends first."

Xing clearly did not want to say much more about Cocolia.

For the past year or two, she had been the one managing the orphanage. Whether the children had been cared for or not, she knew better than anyone.

"Mies, Kana, Soraya." Xing turned and called into the room. "Bronya, Seele, Rosaliya, and Liliya are back together. Come out and welcome them, okay?"

In truth, ever since the group had entered the courtyard, someone had already been peering out from the window inside.

Some of the younger children wanted to run out and welcome Bronya and the others, whom they had not seen in a long time, but the older children beside them stopped them.

They had already learned from Xing that Bronya had left the orphanage, entered St. Freya High School, and become one of Schicksal's people.

As for how Far East and Schicksal had later fallen out, and how they had eventually formed an alliance with Anti-Entropy...

Out here in the remote countryside, Xing had no way of obtaining more news.

She only wanted to take good care of the remaining children and did not care much about the changing tides outside.

As for Xing's position as an Anti-Entropy executor... after Cocolia's betrayal, she only retained the title, without any authority
