"What exactly is going on?" Han Jiang pressed Master Changguang.

Master Changguang stared intently at the projection and muttered, "The Dominance Herrscher's ability is domination. Bronya's power as the Herrscher of Reason has been dominated by her, not taken away."

"In other words, the Dominance Herrscher is currently using the Herrscher of Reason's power through a form of 'borrowing.'"

"Let's compare the Herrscher of Reason's power to a weapon. The weapon belongs to Bronya. Whenever Bronya uses it, the Dominance Herrscher can use it as well. So any wear, damage, or destruction to that weapon must be borne by Bronya."

"The reason we failed to observe the Core of Reason yesterday was because the Dominance Herrscher misled us. We assumed from the start that she had directly taken the core."

Bronya sat up and pressed a hand to her chest. "Then why can't I sense the core's existence? I can't even sense the slightest trace of the Herrscher of Reason's power."

"This..." Master Changguang shook her head. "I haven't figured that out yet."
