The sky was blue, the wind was gentle, and the birds sang sweetly.
Han Jiang woke to find himself lying in a patch of grass, with the rustling sounds of rabbits scurrying nearby.
When he turned to look, he found that it was not a rabbit, but a dull gray rat nearly as large as one.
Startled by the monstrous rat, Han Jiang flicked a finger and sent a streak of energy through it, killing it off to the side.
"Is this... another World Bubble? But why does it feel a little off?"
Han Jiang could not quite put his finger on what felt wrong. The remnants of his fused system seemed to be resonating somehow, yet it did not seem quite like that either.
For the moment, returning to the real world would be difficult, since he had been injured again.
The explosions caused by World Bubbles were not something a person could endure, not even Han Jiang.
Han Jiang had considered waiting for the Herrscher of the End to descend, then detonating several larger World Bubbles in succession, but he quickly abandoned that idea.
If too many World Bubbles exploded at once, Earth itself would be blown away. Whether the Herrscher of the End died or not, humanity would definitely be finished.
"Anyway, I'll take a look around first. I'll treat it like a vacation."
Han Jiang got up from the ground and stretched, then spotted a city in the distance surrounded by towering walls.
There were also scattered houses outside the city, though not many.
"Hello, I'm a traveler from the East. May I ask where this is?"
Outside a shabby courtyard, Han Jiang came across an old man returning home from the city and asked him.
