Perhaps noticing the change in Luo Mu's gaze, Shaymin lifted its head after shaking off the water and looked at him in confusion.

As though it did not understand why Luo Mu was looking at it that way.

"Don't you feel anything about this?"

Luo Mu frowned slightly and crouched down, intending to try touching the flowers on Shaymin's body.

Shaymin's body shrank back instinctively. It then took a step back and looked at him with the confused yet wary eyes of a small animal.

Luo Mu did not feel hurt. He knew very well that he was no Pokémon heartthrob; it was obviously impossible for Shaymin to trust him unconditionally the moment they met.

Just then, several Combee sent by Vespiquen flew over, carrying a jar filled to the brim with Combee Honey.

Luo Mu immediately understood when he noticed that Vespiquen had not followed them over.

Just as he thought, Vespiquen must have noticed something.

Pokémon were intelligent and wondrous creatures. Although most Pokémon only possessed minds comparable to children under six or seven years old, they clearly had a basic ability to read expressions and situations.

Vespiquen had noticed Shaymin's fear and wariness toward him, so she had simply chosen not to come over.
