One day, Fang Qing was having a small gathering with his cousin Yang Qi when five or six figures descended outside their castle. The leader wore white, stood with his hands behind his back, and looked down with the arrogance of a monarch entering the world. Several others stood at his sides, their expressions gloomy and sinister.
"Is Yang Qi here? Come out at once. We have something to ask you!"
Their voices came from outside.
The voices were shrill, carrying undisguised arrogance and command.
Yang Qi frowned, a chill flashing through his eyes. "Cousin, they're from the Crown Prince Faction. They've come looking for us—most likely to ask why Li He and the others have advanced their Cultivation Levels so quickly."
Fang Qing lifted his teacup and took a light sip, an amused smile curling across his lips. "Oh? Dogs of the Crown Prince Faction have barked all the way to my doorstep?"
He set down the teacup, rose to his feet, and flicked his sleeve. "Come, Cousin. I'd like to see what sort of trash dares act presumptuously before my brother."
