After entering Notting City, Old Jack led Su Xiao and Tang San straight to Notting Junior Soul Master Academy.
"Stop right there. Is this a place country bumpkins like you can come?" The three were stopped by a young man at the academy gates.
Old Jack took out Su Xiao and Tang San's enrollment certificates and hurriedly explained, "These two children are Holy Soul Village's work-study students for this year. They've come to enroll."
"Heh." The young man sneered disdainfully. "Holy Soul Village hasn't had a work-study student in years, and now two suddenly show up at once? They're not fakes, are they?"
Still, out of caution and duty, the young man took the enrollment certificates and glanced over them.
"Two Innate Full Soul Powers? Holy Light Dragon Martial Soul? Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul? You old swindler! Take your two little beggars and get lost!"
The young man flung the enrollment certificates into Old Jack's face, raised the spear in his hand, and tried to drive the three away.
"What do you mean by that?" Old Jack angrily picked up the two certificates. "These are certificates from Spirit Hall!"
"Forging Spirit Hall certificates is an even graver crime. If you don't want to die, get lost!"
The young man wore a vicious expression as he pressed the sharp tip of his spear directly against Old Jack's shoulder.
"Grandpa Jack!" Su Xiao and Tang San shouted worriedly.
The two unleashed their Martial Souls. The Holy Light Dragon and Blue Silver Grass appeared at the same time, their auras powerful.
Tang San leaped up and kicked the young man's spear away, while Su Xiao took the initiative and punched toward the young man's abdomen.
Su Xiao's punch carried not only the power of the Holy Light Dragon Martial Soul, but also the Mystic Jade Hand Tang San had taught him.
The blow sent the man crashing to the ground. Clutching his abdomen, he screamed in pain, then barely managed to crawl back up. Seeing the Holy Light Dragon Martial Soul behind Su Xiao, he grew somewhat wary.
"Stop." A voice rang out.
A middle-aged man in a gray robe, his face slightly weathered, walked over.
The young man immediately said respectfully upon seeing him, "Master, why are you here?"
Yu Xiaogang ignored him. After giving Su Xiao a brief look, he walked straight to Old Jack. "Sir, these are the two children, correct?"
"Master, I'll leave these two children to you."
Old Jack called Su Xiao and Tang San over to his side. "A Xiao, Xiao San, this is Master. Master was the one who helped A Xiao obtain his enrollment qualification."
Old Jack gave Su Xiao and Tang San a few more instructions, then left after entrusting them to Yu Xiaogang.
Yu Xiaogang took Su Xiao and Tang San's small hands and sternly rebuked the young man, "I do not wish to see something like this happen again!"
As they walked into Notting Academy, Tang San asked, "Teacher, are you the Master who has the same Martial Soul as A Xiao?"
"The same Martial Soul?" A trace of regret flashed across Yu Xiaogang's face. "Su Xiao may have some connection to me, but our Martial Souls are vastly different."
"Your name is Tang San, right? I'm not a teacher at the academy. Everyone here calls me Master, and you may address me that way as well."
Su Xiao's eyes suddenly lit up. "Then what if we want to take you as our master?"
Tang San looked at him in confusion, while Yu Xiaogang said in delighted surprise, "Let's discuss that in my office."
Upon arriving at Yu Xiaogang's office, Su Xiao and Tang San set down their luggage. Yu Xiaogang got straight to the point and asked, "Tang San, aside from Blue Silver Grass, what is your other Martial Soul?"
"How did you know?" Tang San froze slightly, killing intent appearing on his face as a dagger appeared in his hand.
Su Xiao grabbed Tang San's hand and shook his head at him. Yu Xiaogang had his back to them and had no idea danger was approaching.
"Innate Full Soul Power is exceedingly rare. In this world, among those with Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power, there is no second person besides you."
