Tangible twisted darkness filled every inch of space.
At this moment, the enormous twisted vortex seemed to finally shatter, and the overcast clouds covering the sky were torn open with a huge gash.
Beyond that enormous rift lay no blazing sun or stars, only hollow, dark nothingness.
Denser Emerald Lightning surged from the edges of the breach, darting between heaven and earth with piercing shrieks, like howling souls screaming madly as they played an ancient ritual.

A heartbeat that shook the eardrums rang out between heaven and earth. Beyond the rift in the void, something seemed to be writhing.
There had been nothing but void and darkness there, as though nothing existed at all. Yet in He Ao's eyes, he could vaguely "see" a huge illusory figure slowly "crawling" out of that rift in the void, bit by bit.
Twisted lines spread beneath the heavens in an instant. Nothingness and icy silence, as if capable of devouring everything, clung to the bodies of the two people on the ground.
