"Who are you looking for?"
As the door slowly opened, the man holding the phone hung up and stood in the doorway, looking up at the Middle Earth Youth outside.
"Are you the supervisor in charge of the drivers here?"
He Ao glanced down at the man before him and quickly asked.
"What do you need?"
The man frowned slightly. He put down his phone, glanced down both ends of the hallway, then turned his gaze back to He Ao. "Do you have an appointment? What the hell is the Front Desk doing? They're letting anyone in without even knowing."
"Who are you working for?"
He Ao lowered his gaze, his voice calm and cold as he watched the man before him.
Hearing that, the man froze slightly, then raised his head in confusion and met those icy eyes.
It was as though an ancient beast were staring him down at point-blank range. The survival instinct carved into his genes made his body tense abruptly, while his pounding heartbeat battered his chest.
"Thank you."
He Ao withdrew the mark he had placed on the man from the very beginning. He glanced at the man's phone, saw the contact name "Boss" on the screen, then stepped back half a pace and left.
It took a long while before the man woke from that suffocating terror. His limp body sagged against the wall as he gasped for air.
Sweat covered his face like raindrops, sliding down from his chin. The muscle pain after the adrenaline surge spread throughout his body.
He reached back and touched his soaked shirt, his voice trembling violently. "What the hell was that just now...?"
