Chapter 1190: Breach the City? (Monthly Ticket Request)
Mint City · West Gate
Glasses Man raised his head and looked at the narrow opening in the gate, barely wide enough for two armored cars to pass side by side. His gaze paused slightly.
At the same time, the officer beside him raised the tablet computer in his hand, looked at him, and said quietly, "Commander, the people on the wall sent word. They need someone reliable, someone who can make decisions, to enter the city and discuss things with them."
"Looks like they're dissatisfied with the price."
A smile curled at the corner of Glasses Man's mouth. Then he said slowly, "Tell them that whatever Weiken promised them, we'll give them the same. If they agree, open the city gate. If they refuse, we attack the city directly. If they don't want to negotiate, they get nothing."
"Are we really going to attack the city directly?"
The officer hesitated before asking quietly.
"When dealing with petty people like this, you have to show them your attitude."
The enormous Land Fortress stopped before the open gap. Glasses Man raised his head and saw the broad, empty barbican beyond the West Gate. Smiling, he said, "The better your attitude is, the more they'll want to squeeze benefits out of you."
"What if they really refuse to accept?"
The officer asked hesitantly.
"Then we fight."
Glasses Man spoke calmly. "A large portion of the guards have been pulled away by Ovi to suppress the internal unrest, while we still have half of Vist Steel's forces here. We're strong and they're weak. Even if we force our way in, they won't last long."
"Understood."
The officer nodded lightly, raised the tablet computer, and quickly typed a reply.
The other side did not respond immediately.
