Scattered sunlight filtered through the classroom windows, falling on the girl's delicate, porcelain-doll-like cheeks.
She lowered her head and quietly stared at the book on her desk, somewhat lost in thought.
Bang--
A hand suddenly reached out from in front of her and snatched away the book. Then, a wide-eyed face leaned close to the girl. "Liu Nan, didn't you sleep well last night? Why have you been sitting here spacing out?"
"Huh?"
Liu Nan abruptly came to her senses. She straightened up and leaned back, looking at the girl in front of her before shaking her head distractedly. "It's nothing, Nan Nan. I just feel a little unwell. My heart's been racing."
"Did you catch a cold?"
The girl in front of her reached out and touched Liu Nan's forehead, then touched her own. "No fever. Do you want to go to the School Hospital?"
"Let's talk about it later." Liu Nan shook her head. "Maybe I just didn't sleep well last night. I don't know why, but since last night, I've felt a little panicky. I can't explain it. I just feel awful inside."
"Are you nervous because exams are coming up?"
The girl tilted her head and thought aloud.
"Maybe." Liu Nan shook her head again, giving it a slight shake. "I'll go wash my face in the restroom and see if I can wake up a little."
"All right." The girl picked up her shoulder bag and sat in the seat beside Liu Nan. "Hurry back. Morning class is about to start. That teacher doesn't take attendance, but exams are coming up. What if she tells us what to focus on?"
"Okay."
A faint smile appeared on Liu Nan's slightly pale face. She slowly stood and walked out of the classroom.
This classroom was in the
