Not long after the Old Train vanished, amid a series of creaks and groans, the shattered metal scattered across the ground slowly gathered together.
Like scattered building blocks, the pieces assembled themselves, forming a somewhat old robot about the height of a person.
A gray glow lit up in the robot's eyes. Then it slowly stepped forward, arriving at the spot where the Tuner and He Ao had stood.
It lowered its head and stared at the blurry gray starlight bloodstains on the ground.
Then it slightly raised a hand, and specks of flickering starlight "precipitated" from the dim void around it.
The starlight gathered in its hand, forming a blurry humanoid figure.
The figure flickered in and out of brightness, seemingly having lost the foundation that sustained its form.
But the old robot did not let go. One hand gripped the Starlight Figure while the other rose and gently sliced through the void.
The surrounding void trembled lightly, and two spreading rail tracks emerged from it, extending all the way into the deepest reaches of space.
The robot raised its head and watched the extending track marks, watching the direction in which the rails stretched.
Under its gaze, the tracks rapidly extended forward. Stars and spacetime folded along either side, revealing the direction and location of the spacetime through which the tracks passed.
At that moment, the twisted spacetime suddenly shuddered.
A purple "Sword Mark," carrying an orange-gray glow, remained ahead.
The tracks that stretched all the way to the end of spacetime came to an abrupt halt before the Sword Mark.
Beyond the Sword Mark, no new tracks extended any farther.
The somewhat old robot stared at the radiant Sword Mark that severed all connections, then slowly withdrew its gaze.
Amid the creaking of turning gears, it lowered
