The Azure Sky Curtain
Azure Sky Curtain
The stars in the world had remained unchanged for thousands upon thousands of years.
Even astrology had disappeared as a field of study.
When something existed for ten years, it was something new. When it existed for a hundred years, it became a historical tale. When it existed for a thousand years, it became common sense.
The years turned, and the sun and moon rose and fell.
People had long forgotten what the sky truly looked like, forgotten the paths along which the stars moved.
They only knew that the stars in the sky would always look that way, that it was the lofty, unreachable sky—the untouchable firmament.
The sun and moon hung above it, and the stars lay within it.
The curtain shrouding the world had never changed.
No one knew where it had come from, nor did anyone know why it had appeared.
Those who questioned it died. Those who doubted it died. Those who thought about it died. Everyone accepted it all as a matter of course.
Just as apples fell to the ground, and people were born, aged, fell ill, and died.
And so, the curtain of the firmament truly became the firmament.
The illusory stars truly became stars.
The people upon the earth no longer had any hope of leaving it.
The Azure Sky Curtain could weave illusory Truth, but such Truth found it difficult to withstand doubt. Only the passage of time could turn habit and tradition into barriers protecting Truth.
Please note: the more fundamental the Truth being woven, the more easily it will be questioned, the less able it will be to withstand questioning, and the more likely it will be to draw the gaze of Great Existences.
Please note: when everyone believed false Truth
