He Ao knocked out the two gang members leaning against the door with a punch in each hand, then stripped the assault rifle from one of them and handed it to Gemu beside him. "Know how to use it, Old Man?"
"Back when I was a Bounty Hunter, you didn't even know where you were!" Gemu took the gun directly and pulled the bolt. He lowered his head to look at the gang member in front of him. "What's with these gangs? We paid the rent."
"They came for me." He Ao handed the other gun to Sianna, took the walkie-talkie from the gang member's chest, and turned it on.
A somewhat violent voice came through the walkie-talkie. "Buzz--Everyone, move in slowly. Seal off every passage floor by floor. Be careful, don't alert them--The target is extremely cunning and treacherous. We only need to delay him--Remember, don't get separated--"
He Ao raised his head and looked ahead.
Faintly, footsteps came from the deepest part of the corridor.
"They came for you?" Gemu asked blankly. "Who did you piss off?"
"No one. It's the protagonist's built-in vortex-of-trouble halo. Fortune goes around, and now it's my turn to be the protagonist, Old Man," He Ao replied casually. Then he turned to the side. "Do you know where we can get to the rooftop?"
Gemu was about to speak when Sianna answered first. "We just came down from the rooftop. There's an elevator over there, just around the corner. It goes directly to the rooftop, but it's stopped on the twenty-ninth floor."
"Can we take the elevator?" Gemu shook his head. "Those gang members are probably taking it up."
"It's fine. I'm their target." He Ao shook his head and looked at Sianna. "Which way?"
"Right there." Sianna pointed to the corner
