"Holy Wine?" He Ao looked at Riley.
"It's also an anomalous entity brought out of an Anomaly Space," Riley explained slowly as she looked at He Ao. "We don't have detailed information on it yet, but it may be a Level 2 anomaly.
"The abilities we currently know of are these: anyone who drinks the Holy Wine will form a connection with it. No matter where they are, with a single thought, they can die completely, and their soul will be fused into the Holy Wine."
"A suicide artifact?" He Ao paused slightly. "Anomalies really do have all kinds of uses."
"More or less." Riley nodded faintly. "Anomalies come in every variety. If you spend enough time developing them, you can always find some useful applications."
"So this 'Holy Wine' is an anomaly controlled by the Anomaly Cult you mentioned?" He Ao continued.
"Yes." Riley nodded. "The Anomaly Cult is a secret organization that worships anomalies."
Riley spoke slowly. "They claim that the appearance of anomalies is a sign of the world's destruction, the vanguard of the old gods' campaign to destroy the world. Only those who worship anomalies and align themselves with them can be reborn after the world is destroyed and become the rulers of the New World."
She lowered her head and glanced at the corpse on the floor. "For this guy to drink the Holy Wine, he was probably a full member of the cult. Those extremist lunatics believe death is merely a 'return.' They believe having their souls devoured by the Holy Wine is preparation for returning in the New World, so they have a fanatical tendency toward suicide."
"Classic lines." He Ao nodded. "Most online cults use that kind of rhetoric."
"Anomalies bring fear, and worship is the other side of fear." Riley sighed
