The contents of this interface were simple: his Bounty Hunter level and total bounty, with advertisements for some of Note Intelligence's smart devices below.
He Ao directly opened the Bounty Hunter level interface.
A level description screen appeared in his field of vision.
He Ao selected the description screen for "D-Class Bounty Hunter" and looked at the promotion requirements below.
*Complete one D-Class bounty mission/capture or execute one D-Class Criminal (2/1)
*Total bounty reaches 200,000 Federal Coins (215,920/200,000)
Below that was a glowing, flashing tab: [Click to Upgrade].
He Ao looked at the upgrade tab and fell silent for a moment.
The requirements had already been met, yet he still had to upgrade manually.
If some guy forgot to manually upgrade and then wanted to view the D-Class Secret Medicine in the mall, wouldn't the information unlock fee be practically wasted?
So this was specifically designed to squeeze suckers out of their unlock fees, huh?
He Ao glanced at the unlock requirements. The first one, completing a mission or executing a D-Class Criminal, was the same as for E-Class.
The second requirement, total bounty, was an additional "promotion requirement."
Moreover, it seemed that total bounty was not calculated based on the total money earned, but rather on the money left in the system.
He Ao had previously withdrawn more than two thousand Federal Coins, so that amount was not included in his total bounty.
In other words, to advance from E-Class to D-Class, he had to keep at least 200,000 Federal Coins in the system without withdrawing it before upgrading.
And money that had not been withdrawn effectively meant it had not yet been paid out; it was still sitting in the Bounty Hunter organization's account.
Any interest and investment returns generated by that money while it was being held
