"Wait, so what exactly are you talking about?" Finn asked blankly again.

"Simply put," He Ao looked at him and explained, "someone is playing hide-and-seek with us. We need to catch them."

"So is there anything we need to do?" Finn asked, still confused.

"Find a pond," He Ao turned and glanced to either side. "I know where there is one. Let's go back first."

The three followed He Ao's lead and quickly reached the back door, the entrance patrolled by Security Guards.

He Ao slowly pulled the door open a crack again and looked at the pond outside.

The ground in front of this door was lower, allowing a large patch of standing water to collect there. Loren used to love squatting by this door on rainy days, watching raindrops strike the water surface.

There were no such flooded areas by the front or side doors. If they left the building from too far away, they could easily run into a 'ghost,' and then they would have no chance to return.

Being 'seen' by a ghost was an instant death attack.

By comparison, the security guard's movements by the back door were easier to predict.

"Look at the reflection."

He Ao pointed at the flooded area and spoke softly.

The two behind him lowered their heads and looked at the pond.

Raindrops fell onto the pond, sending ripples rolling across its surface.

Within those ripples was the reflection of a somewhat aged building.

The sky had already darkened, and the building's reflection swayed with the ripples, appearing even blurrier.

"The building in the reflection doesn't seem quite the same as the real one," Reed mused beside He Ao.

"It looks older," Finn said as he studied the hazy reflection. "And there seems to be a misty layer of gray
