Medala let out a long yawn over the phone. "Anyway, that's all I could find. The rest depends on your own intelligence-gathering skills. Find a crowded bar, and maybe you'll turn up some clues. That's it, I'm hanging up."
"Alright." He Ao lowered his wristband and ended the call.
He raised his head and looked over the noisy crowd around him. Bright sunlight streamed in through the entrance, illuminating the old sign above the bar's door.

At that moment, Medala called again.
He Ao glanced at his wristband and answered.
Then Medala's puzzled voice immediately came through. "Hawk, Verde has gone missing. My family sent word that even Graystone Palace hasn't been able to reach him. They've been working on it all night."
"Mm." He Ao responded casually, then walked toward the noisiest part of the bar.
"Why do you sound so lazy? Aren't you concerned? Aren't you surprised? Weren't you always worried about Verde?" She paused slightly, as though something had suddenly occurred to her. Her pitch shot up. "You did this? When?! Didn't you say you hadn't found Verde?"
"He never left Vickart City," He Ao said casually.
"He pulled a feint, but you saw through it?" Medala immediately understood. She did not continue that topic, instead saying excitedly, "Old handsome guy, you're amazing. I love you to death. I really want to marry you."
