The remains of a High-Level Existence might once have been kept in Winding Hill—one killed by the Desire Witch.
The Desire Witch had kept sending down lightning to scour those remains.
But when He Ao found Winding Hill, there was nothing left inside.
Someone had "taken" the remains hidden there, right under the Desire Witch's nose and in the face of the power she had left to lash them.
Even across the universe, very few beings could have done that.
As it happened, the Main World's "Sage Master" appeared to wield the power of history.
And the system's background description had mentioned an unnamed being who had once imitated Truth, luring wizards into exploring history to gain its power.
Anyone capable of imitating his Good Friend without being discovered had to be an existence of immense standing, perhaps even a god.
A god skilled in concealment, disguise, and deception.
For such a god, taking something from Winding Hill would be easy enough.
