Anke froze.
But before he could react, a slender arm reached in from outside the window, grabbed him, and yanked him straight out of the vehicle.
"A brat who still smells of milk." Immediately after, that breathtakingly beautiful face leaned close, carefully sizing up his cheeks, then pulled back to look over his body in detail. "Not bad development."
"Those useless pieces of trash from Vester Steel." The pretty young woman sat on the roof of the vehicle and casually tossed Anke onto it. "Going on about how there might be a Transcendent above D-class. So where is this Transcendent above D-class? Useless trash. Useless no matter where they are."
The sound of speeding off-road vehicles drew closer from afar. Soon, one off-road vehicle after another stopped around the train, and fully armed mercenaries without any specific insignia climbed out.
A tall man with scanning equipment on him, seemingly the captain, stepped down and saluted the girl on the roof. "My lady!"
"The people should all be in the cargo car." The girl waved her hand somewhat helplessly. "Check them over. If there's no problem, take them away. Also, bring my floating fighter jet over. I'm going to settle accounts with that Vester Steel trash later. They made such a fuss and insisted on calling me here, and it turns out it was just this little snack."
"Yes!" The mercenary captain nodded. "I'll scan the traces around here first."
"Can't you just not scan?" The girl rolled her eyes, her voice carrying a hint of coquetry. Her slightly baby-fat cheeks revealed a kind of incomprehensible charm, making Anke beside her freeze slightly, lost in a daze.
"What's wrong?" The girl seemed to notice Anke's state. She turned
