The girl in the white dress stopped when she reached this point. Hiding behind a massive pillar, she glanced back at Anke, who was running toward her. Anke understood what she meant.
"Your turn to perform."
Anke turned and glanced at the woman in leather boots, falling silent for a moment.
From her movements, he could vaguely tell that she was an expert.
An expert far stronger than him.
At this moment, he suddenly realized that the people in this building all seemed much stronger than he was. If he was not careful, someone might beat him to death. So where had he gotten the confidence to enter this building in the first place?
Anke felt that he had quite a bit of nerve.

Then he turned and ran toward a pillar behind them.

Very quickly, they circled around from the rear. After completely avoiding the leather-booted woman's line of sight at the front, they sneaked up to the back window of the little house and hid behind a pillar near it.
Anke raised his eyes and looked. The rear window was entirely wooden, sealed with a somewhat blurry old-fashioned pane of glass. Through it, he could only vaguely make out things like tables inside.
