The interior layout of the house was very simple. The left and right sides had been opened up, forming one huge, elongated space.
The walls throughout the house were lined with tightly packed display cases, each filled with neatly arranged items.
More display cases stood in staggered rows down the middle of the house, with dim Kerosene Lamps placed between them for illumination.
To He Ao, this house did not feel like somewhere people normally lived. It felt more like a bargain store in a mall, crammed full of all sorts of trinkets.
"Should we go in?"
Liu Nan found the scene rather strange as well. Combined with the dim yellow Kerosene Lamp light and the dense fog outside, it looked eerie and grotesque.
"Yeah. Don't get too far from me."
He Ao nodded, released Liu Nan's wrist, and stepped into the house first.
He had kept hold of Liu Nan because, in the dense fog that obstructed their vision, they could easily get separated the moment he let go. This house was strange, but it had basic lighting, so their vision would not be obstructed. There was no need to keep holding hands, and it would only affect their combat ability.
Liu Nan lowered her head and glanced at her left wrist. He Ao had not paid attention to his strength when grabbing her, and his grip had been rather tight. Her fair wrist was now slightly red and faintly aching.
She tugged down her sleeve to cover her wrist, then quickly caught up with He Ao.
"What is it?"
He Ao stopped in front of a display case near the entrance. As he examined the items inside, he asked softly.
"Nothing." Liu Nan pulled back her sleeve and showed He Ao the spot on her wrist that he
