Underground Palace

Deep within the dark passage lay a silent stillness.

There was no clamor, no noise, no strange sounds of corruption.

The passage was so quiet that it seemed to lead into an abyss of nothingness.

He Ao descended the narrow stairs one step at a time.

The stairs from the fourth floor to the fifth floor were not straight, but spiral-shaped. Yet they did not seem to descend directly downward, instead winding along a sloping path.

Though the semicircular walls curved upward, every section seemed to have a different curvature.

The scattered consoles appeared to cover the entire space, yet every one differed in shape and size. No two consoles looked symmetrical, whether in mirror symmetry or rotational symmetry.

Strictly speaking, all the objects in this space were distributed in chaotic disorder, without any discernible pattern.

He Ao walked out of the small door and moved step by step through the destroyed consoles.

Then, after circling around a large console crackling with electricity, he finally saw the only thing in the entire space that displayed even a little "regularity."

It was a cylindrical control console with only half remaining. It was roughly three meters in diameter and at least two meters tall.
