The dense fog almost completely obscured all sight of the surroundings. The Red Haired Woman raised the disc in her hand and looked around, but all she could see was silent, pitch-black dense fog.

Pale orange radiance descended from the disc in her hand, forming a shield like a curtain of light that enveloped her and blocked the erosion of the fog outside.

Extremely faint sounds, like flesh being corroded, rang out from the pale orange radiance. The dense fog around her was trying to erode the curtain-like shield.

This dense fog was very similar to the fog in the hall when they had first entered the Inner Church, though it seemed somewhat weaker.

Even so, the fog's corrosive power was extraordinarily fierce. Feeling the tremors coming from the disc in her hand, the Red Haired Woman knew it would not last much longer.

She carefully examined the space ahead. The hazy glow cleared away some of the fog, and she finally spotted the figure of a young boy almost completely swallowed by the dense fog.

Only then did she feel slightly relieved.

With her vision blocked by the fog, she could not see any path ahead at all. The door had completely vanished after they stepped out of the fog.

Without any guidance, she would likely be trapped to death in this dense fog.

From their earlier contact, the young boy did not seem to know much more than she did, and he might not necessarily be able to find a way deeper inside.

But instinctively, judging from the powerful abilities the boy had displayed during their brief time together, she believed he would definitely find the right direction.
