Rising from the Coffin (Big Chapter Seeking Monthly Ticket)

A faint light source cast down a cone of light from high above, illuminating a hazy circular platform in the pitch-black space.

Around the circular platform, one black coffin after another stood tilted along its edge.

The coffins encircled the platform layer upon layer, like an inverted conical barrel with its opening facing upward, stretching all the way into the end of the darkness.

Creak-creak—

Like an old door opening and closing, sharp, grating chewing sounds echoed beneath the pitch-black veil of night.

It was as though something deep within the silent darkness was gnawing on something.

And amid the rhythmic sounds of chewing, an orange-gold radiance suddenly lit up on the platform.

Immediately afterward, three figures covered in glowing patterns appeared atop the platform, standing at the center of all the surrounding coffins.

With the appearance of those three streaks of light, the entire world suddenly fell silent.

"This Knocking Stone is really useful. It actually brought us straight in. So this is the very bottom layer of this heretical church?"

The Thin Man standing on the left glanced at the circular platform beneath his feet, which had a radius of no more than fifty meters. Then he looked up at the coffin cluster stretching into the depths of darkness. "Doesn't look like much."

"Those coffins contain the remains of people with high spirituality."

The Scarface Man on the right swept his gaze over the endless sea of coffins, his voice somewhat low. "Winter City's believers alone couldn't have provided so many highly spiritual corpses. These Heretical Believers most likely brought quite a few bodies from branch churches in other cities as well."
