A young officer pushed open the office door, panting as he looked at the burly man sitting in the empty office with a book in his hands.
Just as he opened his mouth, the broadcast in the hallway slowly began. "This is Mayor Lynn."
Inside the empty office, the scar-faced burly man set down his book and looked toward the hallway speaker, confusion in his eyes. "Lynn? Mayor Lynn? Isn't he at the Mayor's Residence? Are Scott's men trying that straight-hook fishing trick again? Trying to hook me by force?"
Then he heard the broadcast mention colluding with corporations to open the city gates, and his expression changed.
Once the broadcast had finished, he lowered his head and looked at the young officer at the door. "Is what that broadcast said true? That Lynn came to North City? This isn't some new trick by Scott's men?"

The young officer swallowed. "I was just about to tell you. He came in."
The burly man was about to say something when he suddenly realized something and raised a hand. "Wait a moment."
He immediately picked up the communicator beside him and dialed a number. "City Gate Control Center, can you hear me?"

"Brigade Commander Mide."
A hoarse male voice soon came through the communicator. "That broadcast—"
"I heard it. I'm coming right away."
Mide said without hesitation, "Gather the brothers around you and get to the City Gate Control Center immediately. If you run into any of Scott's bastards, shoot them on sight. No matter what, we can't let the city gates fall into their hands. Understood?"
