Just in Case

In an uninhabited stretch of sea off southern France, a sailing boat with its floating platform extended drifted quietly on the water.

In a seat in the deck's lounge area, a young man in swim trunks stared intently at the mist-shrouded crystal ball on the table, as though trying to discern something within it.

A moment later, the young man seemed to have truly seen something. He sighed softly and murmured, "So it happened after all?"

"What is it, darling?"

A gentle voice sounded from behind him. The cabin door was pushed open, and Isabelle emerged in a swimsuit, with a basin of chilled watermelon floating behind her.

She handed the watermelon to Albert and asked curiously, "What have you foreseen this time?"

"Something bad has happened." Albert casually picked up a slice of watermelon and took a bite before turning his gaze toward Isabelle in her swimsuit.

"Something bad?"

Isabelle looked at the crystal ball but could not see anything in it. She then shifted her attention back to Albert. "What exactly happened?"

"See for yourself!"

Albert raised a hand and touched the crystal ball. The white mist inside began to churn, revealing an image of Dumbledore examining his own blackened hand.

"This... Dumbledore's condition seems very bad?"

Isabelle frowned slightly as she stared at Dumbledore's hand. Though she knew little about Dark magic, that charred hand looked utterly lifeless, completely necrotic.

"He's probably been struck by some vicious curse." Albert was rather helpless about it. "Dumbledore is probably... close to death. I've warned him more than once."

He had done everything he could, but it had not made much difference. As for watching Dumbledore the entire time and directly helping him avoid danger?

That was undoubtedly rather ridiculous.

Perhaps that was why prophecies were not so easily changed.
