"Professor Slughorn is really generous!"

Harry gazed at the golden liquid in the vial, a pleased smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

He had used Liquid Luck before and knew very well just how useful the miraculous potion was.

"I bet Professor Slughorn knows how to brew Liquid Luck." Ron stared enviously at the vial in Harry's hand and could not help swallowing.

"If Professor Slughorn has any extra Liquid Luck in reserve, I'd like to buy some from him. I wouldn't mind even if it cost more. This is rare stuff." Harry felt that today was his lucky day. As for his earlier unpleasant clash with Snape in Defence Against the Dark Arts, he had long since put it out of his mind.

"You can't take too much Liquid Luck," Hermione reminded him kindly.

"Actually, I never expected to get any extra Liquid Luck from Professor Slughorn. Don't forget, he said he'd only taken it twice. If he had any to spare, he definitely would have taken it more than twice."

Harry tucked the vial into his robe pocket and pondered how to use the Liquid Luck wisely. Drinking it all at once would undoubtedly be terribly wasteful. He ought to divide it into several portions like Albert did and use them when needed—that was clearly the best approach.

"I wonder how Albert managed to divide this stuff into half-hour doses." Harry planned to ask Sirius when he had the chance and see whether they had any ideas.

"Harry, how did you do it?" Ron asked curiously.

"I... guess I was just lucky." After noticing Malfoy listening in with his ears perked up, Harry casually came up with an excuse. "Of course, it's nothing really. Some people are much luckier than I am."
