"Has he gone out again?"

Katrina was carrying a cup of black tea past the living room when she stopped and looked at Isabelle, who was flipping through a childcare guide.

"Seems like he has something to do."

Without looking up, Isabelle changed the subject. "Where's Mum?"

"Her? She seems to have gotten obsessed with cooking lately. She's in the kitchen learning how to make simple food from the house-elves." Katrina felt rather helpless about it. Their mother simply had no talent in that area. Leaning against the doorframe, she took a sip of tea and looked at the person in the living room before asking, "Are you really not going to do anything about him?"

"It's useless. Besides, Albert knows better than anyone how to protect himself." Isabelle gently turned a page, her tone equally calm. Ever since returning to England, she had expected this situation.

"I really don't understand how you can say that so calmly."

Katrina walked into the living room and sat on the sofa opposite Isabelle. She set down her teacup, picked up an apple and a knife, peeled an apple for Isabelle, neatly sliced it, arranged the pieces on a plate, and pushed it in front of her.

Isabelle placed the book upside down on the table, picked up a slice of apple and took a bite. "What else can I do? Albert has his own considerations, and even if I sold you out, I still couldn't persuade him."

"I really have no idea what that guy is up to all day!" Katrina curled her lip, picked up her black tea, and returned to the study to continue compiling her book.

In a desolate village, Albert suddenly sneezed. His wand paused in midair, nearly causing the spell to fail.

"Caught a cold?" Shanna asked.
