The ship stopped in the waters off the coast of France. On deck, Isabelle reached up to brush aside the hair tousled by the sea breeze, then turned to look at her husband.
"You still can't let go of what's happening in England, can you?"
"It can't be helped. People always hope the future will unfold the way they want it to, but the future is always full of uncertainties." Albert gazed at the towering cliffs ahead and murmured, "Even if I can foresee the future, I'm not omnipotent."
Albert actually felt that going with the flow might have been better, but he had already put so much effort into this. If he held on just a little longer, a better future would be right before him. He would never allow himself to slacken at such a crucial moment.
"Aren't we going to keep living on the ship?"
Katrina emerged from the cabin in a beige casual dress, accompanied by Mrs. McDougal. Beside them, a house-elf carried a familiar-looking suitcase.
"We'll be borrowing a friend's house for the time being." Albert smiled as he explained, "I've already spoken with the healer as well, so there won't be any problems."
"Are you sure this friend of yours is trustworthy?"
Katrina was surprised that Albert was willing to trust someone else at all, and she was even more curious about this friend he had mentioned.
Isabelle, on the other hand, remained calm, as though she had known what was going on all along.
"You know him too. He's here."
Albert left the deck and Apparated onto the top of the cliff.
"Welcome to France."
Bard, dressed in fashionable Muggle casual wear, greeted Albert with a smile and gave him a big hug.
