Scrimgeour followed Albert's gaze. Beyond the glass window was a vast expanse of white; nothing could be seen.
Before long, however, two men dressed as Muggles pushed open the café door. The moment they spotted Scrimgeour, their expressionless faces briefly registered astonishment.
After all, Scrimgeour had made no attempt to disguise himself.
The Aurors guarding the area reacted swiftly. Without giving the two men any chance, they drew their wands and took them down.
Unsurprisingly, they were Death Eater scouts. They had heard that Scrimgeour might be meeting someone here in private, so they had come to investigate.
As for where the information had come from, naturally, Scrimgeour himself had leaked it.
Otherwise, why would he have gone to all this trouble?
They were merely small fry, so even Veritaserum would not pry much useful intelligence from them.
"I think this was just an accident."

Albert glanced at Scrimgeour and said flatly, "The Death Eaters you've been waiting for are probably still outside, waiting for news."
"Well, I hope they charge straight in. It would save me a lot of trouble." Now that Scrimgeour knew he had been seen through, he could not be bothered pretending any longer.
"Do you think I should use the Imperius Curse to make them go out and spread false information?"
He knew, really, that there was an eighty percent chance he could not hide it from Albert. Seeing that Albert was not angry, he could not help feeling relieved.
With Albert here, Scrimgeour was not worried about Voldemort suddenly appearing to kill him.
"That's not a bad idea."
Albert gave Scrimgeour a strange look, somewhat surprised that he would do such a thing.
