"What happened?"
Hearing hurried footsteps in the corridor, Harry, who had been discussing their next steps in finding the Horcruxes with Hermione and Ron in the dormitory, opened the door and stuck his head out, puzzledly asking Sirius Black, who had just passed by.
"Kingsley just sent word that a group of Death Eaters broke into Bubage's home and forcibly took her away."
Sirius did not have any particular feelings about Bubage being captured. He had heard other Order of the Phoenix members talk about her and was simply curious that, even after Albert's warning, she had not fled abroad.
If it had been him, he might not have chosen to hide either, but that did not stop Sirius from thinking that the Muggle Professor named Bubage had only herself to blame for being taken away.
Who told her not to listen to advice?
Since it was her own choice, she had to see it through, even in tears.
If it cost her life, there was nothing to be done about it.
"Professor Bubage didn't leave England?" Hermione was equally shocked.
Albert had specifically warned Professor Bubage back then. The three of them had been there, yet Professor Bubage had not taken Albert's warning seriously?
Didn't she know Albert was a Master of Prophecy?
She should have.
"No, she didn't leave the country. She stayed in England and seemed to have moved somewhere else."
Tonks, who had hurried back to headquarters, gave a helpless bitter smile. "Bubage did take some of it to heart, but..."
"Are you all right?" Sirius asked.
"I'm fine."
Tonks looked somewhat dejected. Ever since she married Remus, the repercussions had begun to show, and her position in the Ministry of Magic had become increasingly awkward.
"When did it happen?" Ron asked in confusion.
"This morning."
